Rushyglen - an exciting opportunity for landowners

the Rushyglen Concept

About Rushyglen

Rushyglen is an exciting new concept in holiday cottages. Rushylgen cottages have been designed to provide exceptional quality within a traditional limewashed cottage. Much of the cottage is made off site to exacting factory standards and as a result, they can be built amazingly quickly and with minimal site labour, yet they are permanent, durable buildings which can be expected to still be there in a hundred years time or more.

The Rushyglen Service

The Rushyglen service for landowners and farmers consists of obtaining consents and supplying and building cottages (like the Rushyglen cottage, Torr an Daimh, near Roy Bridge.) While some customisation and regional variation is possible, landowners will appreciate the cost efficiencies that derive from sticking closely to a tried and tested design. Buying a Rushyglen Cottage could not be easier, with a mortgage if required (subject to status), and of course you get Inheritance Tax relief on a qualifying business property.

Rushyglen cottages are expertly marketed to the self-catering holiday market under the 'Rushyglen' brand. A holidaymaker who has experienced the quality of a Rushyglen cottage in one place will always know what to expect when they book another one. In turn landowners who buy a Rushyglen cottage will find that the marketing and letting of their cottage is supported and enhanced by the prestige being part of the growing network of high class Rushyglen cottages.

Owners of existing buildings like the Old Schoolhouse (next to 'Torr an Daimh,' the Rushyglen Cottage at Tulloch) will also have the opportunity to have their buildings brought up to the Rushyglen standard and fitted out with a similar package and thereafter marketed under the Rushyglen brand.
